Bringing professional dance performances into schools to inspire and educate.

PULSE is an exciting new dance touring programme for schools across County Durham developed in partnership with Durham University’s Astronomy Department.

Taking place over half a day, and exploring aspects of KS2 Earth, Space and Light, PULSE includes the opportunity for pupils to participate in a dance workshop, then watch professional dance live and close-up before finally taking part in post-show conversations with the artists and creative team.

PULSE also includes pre and post-activity resources and videos to help your school gain maximum benefit from the opportunity.

PULSE costs £200 to book for your school. If your school is interested, but the cost is a barrier – we encourage you to register your interest using the booking form and tick the relevant box stating that your school would like to apply for a reduced cost if we are able to secure extra funding to make this option available. As PULSE is a dance-based programme, you may be able to utilise the PE and Sport Premium to meet the cost.
