Bringing professional dance performances into schools to inspire and educate.
PULSE is an exciting dance touring programme for schools across County Durham, developed in partnership with Durham University’s Astronomy Department.
Taking place over half a day and exploring key aspects of the KS2 curriculum on Earth, Space and Light, PULSE includes:
- A high-energy, interactive dance workshop
- A professional dance performance delivered live and up close in your school hall
- A post-show discussion with the artists and creative team
PULSE also provides participating schools with:
- Pre and post-activity resources for pupils and their teachers to support and extend learning
- Optional CPD sessions for 2 members of staff
PULSE toured across County Durham primary schools in Spring 2025 (Year 1) and Autumn 2025 (Year 2), delivering a total of 66 sessions. We plan to return for a third tour in the 2026 to 2027 academic year. If you would like to be notified when more details are released, you can join our mailing list by emailing [email protected].
