FUSE 2024

We’re excited that FUSE will return in March 2024.  Watch this space for updates and information on how to take part.

FUSE 2023

FUSE 2023 took place on Friday 10th March at will take place on Friday 10th March at the Centre for Excellence in Creative Arts in Hartlepool.  Despite the March snow (yes, really!) young dancers from Hopewood School, Priory Woods School, Beverley School and Barbara Priestman Academy.

Ahead of their afternoon performances, the dancers worked hard in three different workshop and got to know each other over their well-earned packed lunches.

The highlight of the day for the young dancers was celebrating the performers of groups from other schools and taking the stage themselves.  The performances were enjoyed by an independent panel who were there to select a group to perform in the North East round of the national U.Dance competition.

Although The Oaks School had been closed by the snow and the performance group wasn’t able to attend FUSE, the Oaks dancers proved themselves to be unstoppable performers by submitting a video entry for U.Dance.

Competition was fierce, and we’d like to congratulate the dancers from Barbara Priestman Academy who went on to perform at U.Dance at Dance City in Newcastle. Well done!

Fuse 2022

Pupils from Priory Woods and Hope Wood schools, and from TIN Arts’ Emerging Young Dancers programme took part in dance workshops led by George and Laura, former pupils of Priory Woods and Hope Wood.
