A partnership between TIN Arts and artists from Florence, Italy in March 2025.
“Being a partner in the Open Dialogo programme has been an enriching, informative and rewarding experience. Our partnership with Marta, Laura, Francesco and Angela (Florence, Italy) was one of openness and true collaboration and we not only discovered many shared values and practices but also made strong connections that will endure.”
TIN Arts are worked with two artists from Italy, Marta Bellu and Laura Lucioli, to share and better understand our respective practices around working inclusively with learning disabled dance artists.
Taking place in Spring 2025, the project enabled partners to develop 3 areas of practice; creating performance work with learning disabled performers, delivering inclusive dance workshops in education and community settings and understanding the professional dance training opportunities for learning disabled dancers in Italy and the UK.

Open Dialogue is an England-Italy cultural exchange programme focused on dance, disability and inclusive creativity, supporting residencies, knowledge sharing, webinars and international collaboration between disabled and non-disabled artists and organisations.
The programme is managed by Stopgap Dance Company and commissioned through a partnership between Arts Council England, the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Italian Cultural Institute of London and the British Council.
