The North East Inclusive Dance Network (NEIDN) was formed in 2012 and initiated by TIN Arts. It continues to be funded by TIN Arts as part of our agreed work with Arts Council England.
NEIDN works to support and develop dance activity for people with a disability. In recent years, NEIDN is particularly focused on dance for people with a learning disability.
The network is made up of artists and organisations committed to the development of inclusive dance practice.
The vision of the NEIDC is to signpost and enable opportunities for those with a disability to experience dance activities and develop skills in dance. They also aim to champion inclusive, good quality dance practice and improve accessibility in all organisations.
The NEIDN explores how we can connect to share practice, opportunities and activity to raise the network’s profile and address its core aim.
The network is an open forum. It allows any individual or organisation to join and contribute to the aims of the network.
